Jana Troute moved to Kona in 1980 and has been on the move professionally ever since. Jana got her real estate license in 1985, became a licensed broker in 1991, then obtaining her GRI (Graduate Realtors Institute) designation in 1997. She joined Clark Realty as Director of Education in 1999. In 2004, she opened the Kohala Coast Clark office at the Fairmont Orchid Hotel as its Broker-In-Charge. That same year, she served as Sales Director for Na Hale O Keauhou, a luxury condominium project in Kailua-Kona, which quickly sold out. Clark Realty, always looking for new opportunities to serve its clientele, recently opened a second showcase office at the new The Shops at Mauna Lani. Jana is now managing both offices.
Professionally, Jana has served as President of the Kona Board of
Realtors
, Vice-President of
the Hawaii Association of Realtors, Vice-President of MLS Hawaii, Inc. and
Hawaii Information Services. She received the Kona Board's Realtor of the Year award
in 1996, and the Hawaii Island Board's Special Recognition award in 2001.
Active in her community, Jana has been a volunteer coordinator for
Kona World Ironman Championship
since 1980 and a member of the Board of Directors for the Kona Family YMCA since 1998. She was also Chairman of
the Kona Relay for Life, the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer
Society, from 2000 through 2005.
On a personal note, Jana has just became a very proud -- and very youthful! -- grandmother for the first time. With that life change well in hand, Jana recently remarried and also took her first trip to Europe in 2005. We can only imagine what other exciting milestones are ahead for this bundle of energy!
